This is a mockup of the cover for the graphic novel. Who knows if it’ll end up being the published version, but I’ve had this idea for some time of featuring two arms, signifying Jorge’s loss but also a universal gesture of seeking help, rescue. It also functions as a P.O.V (point of view) as I naturally used my own arms as reference.
While observing my arms I felt so grateful for having them, these precious appendages we all use so much without realizing it. I admire Jorge tremendously for his ability to do as much as he does without them.
